Saline County Jail Roster

The Saline County, Arkansas Jail Roster is a public tool that allows you to find out who is currently in custody at the county detention center. SalineCourt.us helps find public information about current and recently released inmates. Additionally, data can be obtained through the official website of the Saline County Sheriff, by visiting the detention center in person, or by calling the sheriff's office. A search in the roster allows you to check a person's detention status, see the charges filed, and the date of arrest. The roster is maintained by the Saline County Sheriff's Office under the leadership of Sheriff Rodney Wright, and it is regularly updated on the county's website.

Search Current Inmates in Saline Jail

There are several ways to check if a specific person is in custody at the Saline County Detention Center.

Online Search

  1. Go to the Inmate Roster page on the sheriff's office website.
  2. The page displays a list of all individuals currently held in the detention center. The list can be browsed manually or by using the browser's search function (Ctrl+F / Cmd+F) to find the desired last name.
  3. To search for court cases related to the detention, use the Case Search Arkansas Judiciary portal.
  4. Additionally, SalineCourt.us allows searching for publicly available information on court records and detentions.

To start a search, you will need the person's full legal name (last name and first name). If the booking number is known, it will speed up the process. Juvenile offenders are not displayed in the public roster.

If the person has already been transferred to the state system after sentencing, the search can be continued through the Arkansas Department of Corrections Inmate Search.

Find Saline Jail Booking Records Online

When a person is brought to the detention center, a booking record is created. This is a standard procedure that records the fact of the detainee's admission to the facility.

The record contains the following data:

  • Unique booking number
  • Date and time of admission
  • Charges filed
  • Arresting agency (sheriff, city police, other agency)
  • Basic identification information — name, date of birth, gender

Current booking records are available on the Inmate Roster page of the sheriff's office. Each record in the roster typically includes charges and the date of arrest. If you need more detailed information — such as a copy of the police report — contact the police report issuance unit at the same number: (501) 303-5609.

To obtain court documents related to the case, use Search ARCourts — the Arkansas state court case search system. Some case materials may be restricted from public view according to state law.

Search the Saline Jail Roster by Last Name or Booking Number

The inmate roster on the county's website supports two main search approaches.

By Last Name

Open the roster and use the browser's search function (Ctrl+F). Enter the last name in Latin script — exact spelling matters. If the last name is common, add the first name to narrow the results.

By Booking Number

If you have the booking number (often provided to relatives upon detention), enter it in the browser's search field. This is the fastest way to find a specific record.

Jail Roster Updates and Search Limitations in Saline

The roster on the sheriff's website is updated periodically throughout the day, but it does not occur in real-time. There may be a delay of several minutes to several hours between the actual booking and the appearance of the record on the site, depending on staff workload.

Main limitations to be aware of:

  • Publication delay. New detentions that occur in the evening or on weekends may only appear in the roster on the next business day.
  • Disappearance of records after release. Once a person is released on bail, by court decision, or after serving a term — the record is removed from the active roster. This is not an archive.
  • Data entry errors. Sometimes there are inaccuracies in the spelling of names or dates. If you are sure the person is in custody but cannot find them — a phone call to the detention center remains the most reliable method.
  • Limited information volume. The roster does not contain the full case history, court hearing results, or sentencing information. For this, refer to the Arkansas court case portal.

The sheriff's office explicitly states on the roster page that the information is provided for public convenience and may not reflect the most current detention status. For urgent inquiries, it is always better to call directly.
